Move over Moxie Minx- Powderpuff Boutique's in town!

I have been soo busy the last few weeks, I just haven't had time to do a decent post on anything! Only 10 days til our wedding, so things are a little busy at the moment.

Any way, I just wanted to take a moment to tell all my gorgeous followers, and any other lovely people who are stopping by this little ol' blog, about my friends Paula-Jane's clothing lable. PJ is not only a dressmaker extrodinnare, but a shimmying go-go dancer, full time mum to her gorgeous austistic 4 year old son, Rocket, and a fabulous lady all round! I don't know how or where she gets her energy and enthusiasm from, but she has bucket loads of it, and it makes me jealous! ; )

Paula launched her vintage inspired clothing lable back in 2009, under the name Moxie Minx, but over the last year or so, has been forced to change Moxie Minx's name, thanks to a big bully sanitary item company. This has cost Paula alot of time, stress and money! But nothing gets this talented lady down! Paula has just re-launched her lable under the new name, Powderpuff Boutique.

If you like, please, check out her brand spankin' new website HERE, and support a hard workin' momma! Or got and 'like' Powderpuff Boutique on facebook!

These are a few of my favouite items, all designed and made by Paula-Jane

Sunday Market Crawl

Yesterday, Sam and I got up at the crack of dawn, and headed off to a swap-meet at the Greyhound Racing Track, in Angle Park. There was lots and lots of car stuff, but nothing for out '52 Pontiac, and no pretty things for me! That was until we were leaving and Sam spotted a cute picnic basket. Yay!
After having the mandatory swap-meet breakfast (bacon and egg sandwich...mmmm), we decided to head off to the Brighton High Boot Sale. We came away witha few treasures, so all in all, it was worth getting up so early. Here is what we scored....

Picnic Basket- $5

1950's Decanter- $2

Bar Set- $2

And my favourite find of the day......

1950's atomic lamp $8!!

It needs a bit of work- the fibre glass shade needs to be screwed back on, (thats why it looks a little lop-sided) and I might have it re-wired, just to make sure it's safe.
I also got a gorgeous 50s/60s umbrella with a bamboo handle (I love bamboo), and Sam scored a great hand tooled leather wallet, both $5.

So, did anyone else score some weeked bargains?
